How can I trace the fault on a Zanussi ZBF 360 F oven?

I have a customer with a Zanussi oven (model ZBF 360 X) which functions perfectly, oven, grill, fan and "pinger"timer. However if she uses the timer as a reminder for a prolonged cooking period (EG Sunday roast) the RCD controlling the cooker circuit trips. The fault can only be momentary as immediately the pinger and RCD are reset all funcion perfectly. Any ideas ?

pinger unit faulty?
As a matter of interest what was the insulation value on the fan and grill element after 30 mins getting hot?

Did that first, remember the fan oven, grill and pinger are all
OK independently and its only a pinger not an auto-timer. The customer uses all of them but the RCD only trips when the pinger is used as a reminder for a prolonged cooking period (EG Sunday roast or I suspect for the Xmas meal). At the instant the pinger sounds the RCD trips but can immediately be reset, they claim never to have any problems over shorter periods and the oven alone can be used for the same length periods with no trouble.

megga the elements
as the elements warm up they can go down to earth causing a tripping fault
