Fridge de-frosting permanently on?

OKO-SANTO 3250-6KG from AEG has the defrosting on permanently and this is in antagonism with the cooling system. It looks as if the time switch is broken. Any suggestion on how to locate it and replace it? is it worth it or shall I just dump it and buy new one?
