Yuk hate pickelled herring, "Roll Mops"

Now a fresh gutted rainbow trout covered in herbs and mixed spice. Baked under a foil cover and surrounded by a dry cider is something not to be missed.

Or a Bass, seasoned and fried skin down then turned for a min.
Served with baby potatoes, griled with butter and a sharp salad.

Drooling now

ave heard of pickelled herring, but never sea bass,!just goes to show,a lack of education is a terrible thing!:-)

Yep, took a detour.
Saw Southend Pier and got pissed on the bar at the end.
Went on the helta skelta and lost direction!!!
Headed inland folowing the flounder that do migrate up the Thames!

Alarm, December 2010
it on its holidays ?????

gts, December 2010
Nope, but it was difficult once explaining how a Sea Bass happened to be in the Thames ..................

Alarm, December 2010
yup, that is indeed sneaky, alarm guy,bet you leave a hook in it too,:-)

gts, December 2010
If i`m after Trout and I have a blank, I go 5 miles.
Fish mongers............now thats sneaky :P

Reminds me, time to visit the lake district again!
Local told me I would never catch from the river under the town bridge.....................ha........who ate fresh fish that night!

Alarm, December 2010
i do my hunting with a 44 40 winchester, and i win all the arguements :-)to each his own,:-)and i can get em from half a mile away, sneaky ,i know.

gts, December 2010
Errr nope, your lack of fishing knowledge preceeds you.
Great now for Pike, Perch , Zander.
Spinners, lures, live bait.
The predators are always a bit active now keeping up fat reserves.
:D

Some decent sized but not old Carp will be tempted too.

Alarm, December 2010
That's right, when it's warmer.

Wimp. :-D

acorn, December 2010
Ahh you misread,its not mine!
But will be doing things with it all the same. You cannot beat a nice sit down by a nice river/lake and relax away from tech for a few hours though. Even the phones are turned off................

Alarm, December 2010
Thought you would be playing with the Trike

acorn, December 2010
Same back at you.
Happy new year to all.
Might sneak in a days fishing if I can.
Pike are good for winter sport!

Alarm, December 2010
thats y me not a fisher man guy, perch, spiny buggers :-)
hope you all have a grand new year,

gts, December 2010
No a Perch is spiney. Watch them when unhooking :P

Alarm, December 2010
spiny buggers that they are, yup,i have made that error !!!!

gts, December 2010
thats better, religion for the sky pilots, not for alarm guy,:-) call a carp a fish har de har

gts, December 2010
Your right, I was over come with religion.
It has passed.
I have seen the light, its blue neon backlighting.
Fantastic unless you have bad eyesight then you cannot read the kin display!

Alarm, December 2010
why hide your light under a bushel,we know you use these words,:-)

gts, December 2010
Sure is, go fishing for them.
Was just avoiding saying crap!

Alarm, December 2010
err.is carp not a fish alarm guy?????:-)

gts, December 2010
by this alarm guy thinks its crap too:-)and by the way,i try each bell box that comes out, just once to see if its any good, not on a site, but i bench test em,you can tell just by looking at the electronics and the make up of the box,a good bell box may cost a bit more, but, you will save in the long run,as the guys on here know very well, but the diy brigade dont look at quality, just cost.

gts, December 2010
To be fair this one caught out everyone including professionals. The nova sounder is used by many.
Some call it carp as they wont use it. I fall foul of this too calling equipment I wont use carp.
Human nature i`m afraid.

~Still suggest you get it upgraded.

Alarm, December 2010
no i am not winding you up i did use a hairdryer to warm up the box! we had the box put in by a "professional" so we would not know if it was cheap crap or not!!!

ackery, December 2010
instead of cheap crap

gts, December 2010
why not just buy a better bell box

gts, December 2010
So you know what the answer is then?

acorn, December 2010
You have an external bell called a NOVA 2,it has a design fault and in the cold it chirps all night like that. There is a fix but it means removing the bell stripping out the circuit board and removing a track on the ciruit board.
Not somnething you may want to do. Get it replaced is the best bet.
As you have noticed it is the cold weather that causes this.
First time i`ve heard of someone using a hairdryer, you on a wind up? But it would cure it for a bit I would habve thought.
As before replace it, and thanks for the laugh!
