I'm having the same problem now, i changed the flywheel sensor two months ago and it worked fine untill now.
Every now and again the car wont start in the morning, the problem seems to be occuring when there is condensation in the car.
Starter works fine! I think it's a problem with the leads.

Action to be taken by myself.

1) remove flywheel sensor
2) clean and replace
3) check leads (making sure there not exposed to the elememts)

Did you fix your problem.

Aida, its a common problem in the Megane too and one that can be rectified in 10 minutes. Theres a flywheel sensor on top of the gearbox that gets dirty and needs cleaning or replacing. This fault doesnt show up on diagnostics so it can be frustrating to work out whats going on at first. Try cleaning the flywheel sensor and see how you get on.

i had the aa out for the same problem.
he checked a few things 1st.
then removed the distributor cap. it was full of water,
he dried, cleaned it, and sprayed it with wd40.

he suggested that i replace it, but to get a match you have to take it to a proper renault place.

i make sure i got the tools to remove, dry and wipe the thing.
since he sorted it its been cool.

sounds like your started solinoid is sticking which means sometimes when u go to start it u get nothing and other times it starts fine.... replacement of the starter is the way to go!!
