Binatone Symphony G20?

Symphony G20 - I have an SMS message on my Binatone cordless phone but I cannot get into it. The blue light is flashing and it says one message but it will not even allow me into the Messaging part of the telephone. When we try,it just returns to SMS Message. How do I get into it please?
