Reprogramming Ford Focus key doesn't work?

Hi
My remote key suddenly stopped working and i tried the position i/ii programme. I get the initial chime but the LED above the clock doesn't stay on & the fob won't work the central locking. Does anyone have any other ideas?
Any help would be appreciated.

pull the fuse out wait 10 mins then put back in and try again

Yes I did all the seat belts & windows and also locked the doors but it still didn't work.

also did you remember to press lock/unlock after the chime??

did you lock doors and plug seat belts in first windows shut too for ultasonics then try reprogramming sequence
