"what was not working with the timer.when you selected a time did it work and go back to zero? or did it not return to zero?
If you set a time on the timer and the drum started up but didn't end then yes a new timer might solve the issue.Make sure you get the right one as there are 2 types on this model 120 min and 140 min timers if I remember correctly

when you selected a time the drum wouldnt move.the timer knob could just turn a full circle,

the timer knob should only go up to the MAX time and then stop where it will count back down to zero.If it went round and round then it doesn't sound right.As to why the drum doesn't rotate could be because of the timer but could also be capacitor,motor,belt or wiring
