elu ps174 how to change brushes

On my Elu PS 174 to change the brushes involved removing the blade & the static guard only.....two screws secure the brush cover plate, which is located behind the spring of the sliding guard...I found access easier with the exposed end of the spring disconnected & moved to one side. Changing the brushes is now a straightforward operation after removing two screws holding each brush assembly in place.

Remove the blade and both static and sliding safety fences the sliding fence has a wire and spring screwed to the back best left on as they need to be positioned fairly accurately ( but not a great problem) unscrew ( 3 screws )on plastic cover this will reveal 2 oblong holes with 2 screws in each (these are the brush covers ) remove these and the rest is easy.
