wireless network adapter problem?

i have an advent 5313 laptop with a realtek rtl8187b wireless 802.11b/g 54mbps usb 2.0 network adapter my problem is when i am just browseing the internet my computer my internet connection goes away and i carn't pick up any wireless networks. so i diagnose the problem and it says 'their might be a problem with 1 or more network adapters on this computer i have tried updating the driver but it says its already updated. is there a program that can fix it for me for free. by the way i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it but it didnt work. please help.

This is almost certainly a WiFi Channel Conflict problem.

You need to use a free utility called inSSIDer. Download and run it.

It will show you what WiFi channels are in use locally. Now go onto your Router settings and set the WiFi channel to one that is not in use locally and at least two channels away from any that are. (WiFi channels overlap.)
