the steel petrol tank on my 1968 340 jag has leak around horizontal seam. do not want to use internal liquid sealer because of probs. with latest petrol ccontaining ethenol affecting it.
have welding/heavy soldering gear but concerned about fumes causing ignite/explosion.

we did a tank same problem on a 1956 ford prefect sit up and beg lol my mate and me took tank off steam cleaned inside then filled it with water and he then brazed it with brass worked well and still going 3 years on
