Thermostat on VW Polo?

I have a 1999/2000 VW 1.9 tdi polo cl classic and the heater control seems to have gone on a go slow, it is not getting as hot as it used to. Any suggestions.

The housing for the thermostat often fails and will give the symptoms you have, replace the housing and the thermostat with genuine VW parts and it should fix your problem
