The compressor is continually running and thus auto defrost in fridge won't operate. Have carried out obvious checks such as door seals,fridge stat settings
etc. but compressor continues to run non stop.
COULD THE THERMOSTAT be jammed and needs replaced and how is it done.

disconnect the fridge freezer and leave both doors open and defrost for 24 hrs then retry. if the temperature doesn't come down you have a gas /compressor issue.if the temp comes down and works again you have a defrost issue.These are general rules and not 100% conclusive!
