my n reg vauxhall tigra 1.6i is loosing power and cutting out (especially when cold) sometimes it takes a while to start again but sometimes it starts straight away and runs fine the rest of the journey but then again sometimes it runs really rough and looses a lot of power. I have had the egr valve changed but that has'nt made a difference, i have also been told it could be sticky valves can anyone help

I have a similar problem with my Zafira and have been told that even though they change the valve it may just be that the air intake on the top of your engine needs a good clean as with age you get a build up of carbon and the little holes get blocked which is what causes the sticking. A local garage can do that.
