hoover hsc 170 thermostat compatibility problem?

I have a Hoover HSC 170 Tumble Dryer that is generating no heat but otherwise appears to be functioning properly.
Have ordered a replacement thermostat but this has the electrical connections 90 degrees out and one of the wires will not stretch. The old thermostat has a blue dot and a 130 deg rating, the new one is a red dot 75 degree rating. Obviously this is the wrong part despite it coming up on the compatibility list on partmaster. Trouble is when I search for the blue dot thermostat on other sites the connections still appear to be 90 degrees out.....Anyone help! Exasperated !!
