When i start my Indesit washer/dryer WIDXL102 the water only enters via the pre wash chamber in the drawer and no water enters through the main wash chamber hence the washing powder is only being washed into the machine on the rinse cycle. This has only started since 2 power cuts when the power went off and then back on straight away.

Water flow into the compartments is controlled by solenoid valves. Your main wash valve is either not getting power or its jammed or kaput.
If you haven't got a test meter, try switching the pre-wash valve with the main wash valve and see if you get a complete run through a main wash cycle.
