Creda T662CW not heating / drying?

My Creda T662CW has stopped heating and therefore drying the clothes. It is over 5 years old. It is still turning etc, just not heating. I have cleaned the filter and condenser, but no joy. Would this be easy and cheap to repair, or should I just invest in a new machine? I don't want to buy a new machine if this one could be repaired easily.

hi Jamie it could be a couple of different issues there are two small thermo switches in the rear of the unit they are fairly prone to going some people have had theirs replaced two or three times in the lifespan of the dryer they cost about a fiver each and are available from most good domestic suppliers or the heater unit has packed in they cost between thirty to fifty pounds or the timer/heat setting switch is faulty depending on your model of dryer I would go for the repair option rather than replace 10 years at least for a decent dryer should be acceptable hope this helps
