Split hose on Freelander? Which tape is best?

Hi
I have a split hose on my freelander and need a quick fix? I have read some suggestions of taping it up? Which tape would be best? The hose is on the right hand side of the engine and is a coolant hose?

Thanks any help or advice would be great N
