Does anybody know the easiest way to remove and replace the alternator on a 2003 transit connect XL 200 diesel

if your charging light is on have a look at the loom from alternator to radiator cowling,strip off outer insulation and check for breakages on wiring,especially where the cable tie clips are situated,very common fault on these,if it is another problem then remove the two 8mm bolts holding engine cover on,remove fan belt with 15mm bolt onto auto adjuster,disconnect battery and remove alternator
