register is stuck on closed, will not except clerk's letter to open. We can turn it to different positions with keys, for instance "z" key and it will display command eg. 201 to final z but does nothing. Tried unpluging to reset but nothing. It happened after we Z'd . It went to closed and shut down. It remains on closed and will not respond to display commands? HELP
How do you activate the keys? I bought one that are already programmed and keys are deactivated...meaning its permanently push down and cannot be press.
My question is...How do you activate it or able to use the button again?

Do you normally use the clerk letters to log on? It may have been set up for numeric logon. You could also try the initial reset (this will be in the front of your manual. Make sure it is the intiail reset, not RAM clear)
