Hotpoint wt761, tick tick noise?

Whenever the drum spins, I hear a loud tick tick noise, the faster the drum spins the faster the noise. Any one suggests what it might be?
It comes on and off during the wash.
If I turn the drum now I can hear the noise.

Thanks CK, for your reply... either way i think i need someone who knows what they doing to have a look and carry out the repair.

Anyone recommend a reliable company that i can use, i see lots of repairers online but prefer to use recommended ones as i don't want hidden charges.

This sounds like a segment on the motor comm has become detached and is clicking as the motor brushes go over it.the only fix for this problem is to replace the motor!
