Thank you you for the answers posted, I am really grateful! Yes it does click so I'm assuming that that must be the problem. Are you able to advise what I should I do about it?

E40 is a door lock issue if the door is shut correctly.Sometimes the door locks can damage the main pcb.does the machine door lock click over and over when you start it up and then report E40?
