Zanussi oven wont turn off?

Hello, we have a Znussi ZDQ495X double oven. Last night we noticed it started to burn food in the main oven. When i opened the door the element was glowing red hot. Turned it off at switch and back on but the element heated up straight away even with the dial off, the red light on the dial is permenantly on as if it is asking for heat. When it reaches temp the light in the oven goes off.

Just sorted it. The fan was running fine. Took top off and tested a few things but could not understand why it heated straight away as all thermostats worked fine. Had a look at circuit board behind clock and suspected the power relay. Disconnected the stat etc, but it still heated up. Eventually took the back off to trace all wiring and found that the bottom element terminal was catching the live terminal at the connection box. Bad design really, as it is just seperatd by a few millimeters.

sounds like the fan has packed up.it cools the element as well as distributing the heat around the oven,it lives in the middle of the element,if you take the plate off at the back of the oven,(on the inside,)you will see it,
