Hotpoint EW74 - How to change Clock/Timer Module?

I need to replace the Clock/Timer Module on a Hotpoint EW74 electric cooker.

There are 2 screws below the control panel. Is it just these which need to come out, or does the hob need to come off as well?

If someone can offer a scan from a service guide, that would be useful.

Thanks in eager anticipation

Hi. First turn the mains power off.

remove all cooker knobs and timer buttons. then remove the face place lifting bottom out and up carefully whils sliding keft to remove.

then you will see two screws holding hib top down also two on back. do not remove the two rear screws with plastic cup washers on as these secure elements to hob.

gently lift hob up and back making sure not to pull any wires off.

now you will see rear of timer shell. two press lugs on left and right will allow you to withdraw timer forward now. make a note of the wires lication in board for refitting.

Thanks belfast4. The clock was flashing and fading. eSpares can provide a replacement - I was just trying to establish exactly ho wtricky the changeout was. - hence the question about disassembly.

hi john was your clock fading or did it stop working, according to hotpoint there is no problems with there clocks. there is hundreds of people complaining about the clocks but they wont do anything about it. i think if you go onto espares you might be able to find what you are looking for.
