Grinding noise?

When my creda dryer is turned on there is a terrible grinding noise. It now seems as though the drum has droped when i turn it manualy do you think this might be the drive belt.

It sounds like the drum shaft and bearing have failed. You can buy the drum bearing kit from a good electrical spares retailer with instructions on how to do it. You'll also need some torx bits to remove and replace the shaft once you've taken the back off the machine. I've had to do the same thing on a Creda TVR2 twice now due to poor design!
