Why does my Beko Eco Care D3422FW dishwasher trip the mains ?

The dishwasher has worked fine until recently and now as soon as it is switched on at the wall it trips the mains. The dishwasher itself is not actually switched on at the machine when it does this.

there is a mains suppressor at the back and this may of failed causing it to trip as soon as it is connected to the wall socket and switched on at the wall.lay dishwasher on its back and remove the base plate.look where the main lead enters the dishwasher at the bottom back and see if you can see a plastic round or square bit with 4 wires attached.check this is OK and hasn't split open.plugs shorting out inside themselves is also another possibility so cut the moulded plug of (if still fitted) and fit a new plug
