Thanks for your reply. There are not any symptons as such and the local garage checked the error code and it said there was a mis-fire on No. 3 cylinder. The car runs OK except starting on a damp mprning when it splutters a bit and that is when the light comes on. It goes off after about 15 miles . Could it be a faulty spark plug?

Thanks Ghost you were spot on, it was a faulty coil pack. I had it replaced at my local dealer and the car is now fine.
