Hi. I have a White Star and am suffering from the no CH or HW situation. First problem was after it was switched off for a week. On switching it on it fired up, made a loud banging sound and switched itself off. I guessed pump failure and pulled the pump off. The mechanism was free and without undue play so I refitted it. On switching back on, the red flame failure light came on. After a couple of on/off attempts to reset it, the light went from solid red to flashing red. A couple more and now no red light at all - just silence. The green power light is on, as is the red timer light, but that's it. Tried the banging method with no success.

I know from previous problems heating engineers won't touch it and it's Friday, I can't call RH until Monday and it's bl***y cold in here! An ideas anyone?
