hi i have a nrg mc3 2001 plate lc i have managed to get it started but as soon as u give it a tiny bit of rev it dies....... my inlet manifold has a split in but it shouldnt have to much of a effect on the bike....? both my tickover and air intake screws have been fiddled with so im not sure.....? i have taken the carb of and cleened it all out but still not revving....? help me please :)

the split inlet will have a big effect on the running of it mate so replace that straight away,wind the mixture screw in all the way then undo it 2,5 turns thats roughly what it should be ,then try it again and if it still cuts out with the new manifold then you need to check your jets in the carb again and also check the fuel tap is operating properly.

Hi mate, that split will have a dramatic effect on the running of the engine, get a new inlet stub, screw the mixture screw all way in then back out approx 1 1/2 turns, then you can easily screw the tickover adjuster in or out to suit.
