My bike cranks but has no spark. I bypassed the micro switches,I don't know how to test ecu unit the dealer said there was no way. any ideas or what else to test and howThanks, Kevin

Adam, I'm not sure if you got my answer I'm having trouble with this site,not all that comp. savoy. yes i bypassed clutch,on/off,kick stand safety sw's. No I haven't tested pick up coils, don't know how my nephew said his friend was a tech 3mo's later he hasen't done anything,he has my tech book.There was a new stater installed because the previous owner installed hand heater,cb,I-pod and intercom system. All have been removed. When I bought in Aug the lady said it ran when it was parked in May. Can't ask husband anything he was killed on his new bike.Stater is good. thanks for your help. Kevin

Sorry I had trouble figuring out how to navigate this site.I bypassed all safety sw. that I knew of kick stand, Clutch,on/off sw.No I haven't tested pick-up coils. Also the fellow who had the bike before me added a larger stator because he added heated hand grips,gps,cb,and i-pod with helmet intercom.these have all since been taken off. some by him rest by me.My guess is he was taking stuff off to sell the bike since he bought a new goldwing, unfortunetly I can't ask him any ? he was killed on the goldwing.I have all parts taken off. I bought the bike from his wife and she said the bike ran in may when he parked it.I bought in aug..I don't know how to test coils, the fellow who said he was a mech has my how to book. (friend of my nephew) I have the tools for testing elec.If I know what to test for. Thanks for helping Adam, Kevin

kevin when you say mirco switches tell me exactly what you have tries please,and have you tried disconnecting the run swithc or igntion switch ?and the stand switch has that been bypassed ?also have you tested the pick up coils for a pulse yet?
