53 Peugeot 206 = Indicators & headlights ?

When putting on my indicators I have an intermittent fault with the head lights coming on. When the "turn" is completed the headlights go off.
Sometimes the clicking noise seems to miss a "beat"
Any idea?

Just to let you know that replacing the indicator arm (Stalk) did the trick - problem solved - though it did cost me £233!!!
