there is a good chance that there is a hair or similar in the needle seat that is stopping the flot needle from seating properly in the seat and allwoing fuel to pass it when it should be shutting off,you need to take the carb off then take the float bowl off then take the float off and the needle will come of with it ,then you need to blow through the fuel inlet with a high pressure airline preferably to dislodge any foreign matter in there.then re assemble and it should be ok i would fit a fuel filter to it to help stop any future problems like that,ps make sure the float isnt full of fuel as its a possibility that the float has a split in it too.
