I have a sharp XE -A303 and I need to add departments that are non vat-able. The manual is so hard to follow!! Hope its not me being blond!!

Hi Blondie. haha, just kidding. It can be a bit confusing.

Turn the key to program (PGM)
Press the department that you need to change.
Press SUBTOTAL (ST) until you see "SELECT OF TAX1"
It will show YES or NO next to it.
Press double zero (00) button to change between yes or no.
Press SUBTOTAL
It will show tax2. Do the same with tax2 if you have two taxes. Otherwise, just set tax2, 3,4 to 'no' using the double zero, then SUBTOTAL.
Press TL (CASH button) to finish.
If you make a mistake at any stage, just press TL (cash) and start again by pressing the department again.
