Mk 4 Golf alarm?

The alarm on my mk 4 golf keeps going off during the night, especially when it's cold or raining. I think the problem might be related to a corroded connection I found in the boot lighting wiring (connects the lock to the internal light). Could this be the problem. I am going to replace the connection this weekend but want to turn the alarm off but still lock the car so that I (and my neighbours) can get a decent nights sleep.
Does anyone know which fuse I should pull without disabling everything else? Any help would be appreciated. I've tried double clicking the key fob and turning the key twice in the lock manually to disable the alarm system but to no avail.
