replacing thermostat on Ariston fridge?

Ariston S KVE 1600. I took off the thermostat, and went to get a new one. Forgot to take note of which wire goes where. Any help would be welcome. The fridge runs ok now that I have wired it up again, but it wont switch off, it just keeps on running forever.
