Vauxhall Astra?

recently came into possession of Vauxhall Astra hatchback, been lying out unused in all the bad weather, it was so sluggish to start, was jumping all the time, calmed down a bit now but still there, sometimes worse than others, now the emission light has come on ? HELP !!!!!!!!
