Moving an ADT motion sensor?

I have an ADT system and a motion sensor that was installd in the basement when we built the house. I am having the basement finished, and need to "remove" the motion sensor so we can drywall. I want to just take it off (and disconnect it) and then put it right back up in the same place (reconnected). They want to charge 115 for the first 30 minutes of work - and that would be x2 to have it taken down and then put back up - which I think is crap. Can anyone tell me how to take this down and put it back up...
