All a service consists of is a change of spark plugs , leads, air filter, oil filter, and some good oil. First go to your local car spares shop and give them the make and year of your car . To carry out a service you will need to purchase a spark plug removal socket that goes on a normal ratchet and also a oil filter removal tool. Step 1- take one lead of the top of the spark plug and using your spark plug remover undo the spark plug and take it out and replace with a new one by inserting it and doing it up hand tight not to tight. step 2-find the longest lead first you should be working left to right. Put the new lead on the new spark plug follow the old lead where it was attached to the old spark plug and fit the new end to it do this to each spark plug and lead just one at a time so you know where it came from. Next step is to get a bowl underyour car and undo the sump nut look in a manual it will show you where it is now oil should be coming out into the bowl. Take a look at your new parts you have brought and take out the oil filter now look on your car it should be down the back of the engine it will look the same get your oil filter remover and unscrew it now replace it by screwingit back on make sure its tight. once no more oil is coming out of the engine into your bowl put your nut back in tightly now fill the engine back up with your new clean oil check how much by your manual you need to refill it. Last thing now to do the air filter locate the air box un clip it or unscrew it which ever it has take out the old air filter and replace it with a new air filter clip or screw it back up hey presto thats your service done as simple as ABC. Goodluck and happy motoring
