I have cleaned it out with the recommend instructions, but with no joy. I used to have the problem where it used to release steam without the trigger pressed. I cleaned it out and since then was fine, till last month where now it has lost all use. The sole plate heats up as norm, the green lights on as it should be. However the most important thing is it does not steam. I've been told by local service repairer that it could be the solenoid to the steam valve. Which is a rough bil of £70 including full service. Is there any other alternative that someone can recommend as £70 is a lot of money. Maybe the local repairer see me coming. Any advice would be great or a repairer someone has used in the local area of redbridge/ Essex.
