how can i open a locked nissan micra boot from the inside?

The boot of my nissan micra 1.2 spirita 56 reg is locked shut and wont open when peshing the boot button on the outside. Is there a way to open the boot manually from the inside of the car

My Micra has got a lever down by the right hand side of the drivers seat that opens the boot & the petrol cap!
