hand brake on 814 mercedes lorry?

The hand brake on my 814 tilt and slide lorry does not hold on a hill. It has air brakes and brake shoes on all brakes. Foot brake works fine, is the any way to adjust the hand brake.

is it a cable handbrake, if so do cables go right up to handbrake lever or are they short ones that go to an actuator in chassis?
