lead disconnected from heater pad?

My friends straiteners has a wire disconnected to one of the heating pads. It seems that the wire is pushed onto the contact and held in place by a red adhesive Can you tell me what adhesive this is or similar that is suitable for holding the wire on the contact, please ?

The best way to repair any GHD hair straighteners is safely, using cable ties, wrong thermal fuses, tape, and any sort of bodge is simply putting the users health and life on the line, i should know because i repair them properly every day and have access to the original replacement parts, quite cheaply too, is your safety worth a few pounds ?
