Cleaning the lid & window?

I have the Cookworks Signature XBM1129S breadmaker. Makes lovely bread unless you make a mistake with the ingredients! I think I put too much yeast in this time and the dough rose up to the window and over the edge of the pan! The manual states that: "The lid can be removed for cleaning." But doesn't explain HOW the lid can be removed for cleaning! Can anyone help?!
Thanks,

There's a panel at back of lid, covering the lid hinge. Lever this off and lid lifts off hinge! The panel is similar to one covering battery compartments, there are two small notchjes at the bottom. Use a screwdriver or similar to lift up the panel and it comes off! No unscrewing necessary!

That's what I wanted to know too. Gonna find a screwdriver now.

Found my own answer - thanks to hubby's ingeniousness. Unscrew the four Philips head screws to remove the inner part of the lid for cleaning. The actual lid does not need to be removed, but could be if necessary by unscrewing further screws visible after removing the inner part!
I expected the entire lid to be easily removable - no screwdriver necessary!
