cuase of this problem ?

i have a vauxhall omega 2.0cd auto,on a v reg, when in drive and stationary tha back end of the car dips up and down and engine revs change. sometimes the enging cuts out because of it

you could try getting the oil and filter pad changed in the gearbox.
