how can i fix my renault megane?

My megane 1.5dci keeps losing power when I am driving along. The rev's are not lost. It is an intermittant fault. The power loss is only brief. I have had a new sensor put on the accelerater pedal and it has made no difference at all. Renault are now saying that it is a wiring loom fault, and when they replace that it could still happen as it could be something else. Please help as I am worried I will be left with no car and a huge bill at the end

when they are saying it is a wiring loom fault then turning round and saying it may not be,does not inspire confidence, just guessing what it could be can cost thousands of pounds, there again these faults can be very difficult to determine,if the garage is full of young mechanics with no experience I would be looking around in your area for a good and experienced auto electrician with the correct equipment to help with your problem
