see if there is a spark, by taking the spark plug out, put the plug back into the cap, and make sure the end of the plug is touching the engine where you can see it, then turn engine over, and look for a spark at the plug. if so put back in, then undo the bleed screw at the bottom of the carb, sometimes after a bike has been standing, the stale petrol will turn to jelly, even if petrol runs out of the bleed screw, the jets in the carb may still need to be cleaned out.
