I was mowing with my 12.5 hp Craftsman and the engine just quit. Now I cannot get it to do anything. I am assuming the engine locked up but it did have some oil in it...but not much. Pretty stupid I know. Is there any hope for this engine?
Take the spark plug out then try to turn the pulley by hand.
If it grinds don't turn it any more!
It is possible to rebuild if the cylinder is too badly scored.
Most likely a new connecting rod, possibly a piston and rings.
