how to clean egr valve ?

I have a vauxhall vectra c 2.0 tdl on a s reg and iI wont to know if i cal clean the egr valve and what i need to clean it with please.

soak in deissel and use a tooth brush till piston slides freely then dry off spray with wd40 and refit
