changing a ford cargo cab?

Hi, does anyone know how easy/hard it is to change a cab on a Ford Cargo? The floor has gone on the cab of my old (1988) horsebox and am unsure whether to change the cab, have the floor welded or buy another cab and chassis?
The biggest problem I can see is the luton has no flap to allow the cab to tilt so not sure which route to go down.

Dont bother with changing a cab on an old cargo as any replacment cab you might find in brakers yards will all be wrotton by now, just buy a newer chassis cab of the same wheel base. If you can change a cab then you will be more than capable of swopping the body, the only difficult thing is if the body is coachbuilt into/onto the cab, but not imposable. You can pick up 2000 iveco 75e15's in good condition for under £2500 then allow yourself 1500-2000 for paint, panels and parts.

How much of the floor is gone?
If it's only localised it could be repaired by MIG welding or by rivetting a patch over the affected area.
Won't be possible to remove the cab if you can't tilt it and even if you can tilt it the overhanging bodywork will be an obstacle to lifting the cab off.

hi
before deciding .
1.is the rest of the vehicle in good condition
2.cost and condition of a replacement cab
3.due you have the facilities to change a cab
4.would buying another ,newer vehicle be more economical in the long run..a nice DAF LF/ ivecocargo

swapping a cab isn't that difficult .though not being able to tilt the cab may. be a problem when it comes to disconnecting some items
