Also had the same problem on a different miele dishwasher. Found the o-ring on the solenoid, added a decent amount of PTFE tape and back in action! Thanks!

Thanks for the tip about using tape under the O ring- it totally stopped the water that was pouring out from around the solenoid

ACS you saved my bacon. I copied your PTFE idea and my dishwasher is running like new. I had searched everywhere for a new O Ring but could not find the correct size. Thank you soooo much

I have had the same problem with a G 653. I packed behind the O ring with PTFE tape and this cured the leak. I think the O rings shrink a but with age.
