Overflow problem with Triton Opel Shower?

My Triton Opel shower is pushing water out through the overflow pipe behind the outlet pipe any ideas ?

Have a look at the showerdoc.co.uk forum. The pressure relief device will need replacing.

Hi, this has just happened to me on my very old Triton Opal. I rang Triton Customer Services on 024 7637 2222 and they explained it was the "pressure release device" and that a ball bearing had moved to force water through the overflow. You can't move the ball bearing back, but they are sending me a new part for £8.75. They say it is very easy to fit.

This has also happened to me, I started as soon as I put a new shower head onto the shower, any ideas on how to stop the water coming from the overflow pipe? or do i need a new shower unit?
